Reminders on other things are a great idea. However, users should have the option as to whether or not certain entries should be displayed due to some entries as being excluded for privacy reasons.
You don't want to be sat with your friends watching a movie & your Doctors appointment shows up, before people may ask questions that you may definitely NOT want to share. So that is a well needed thing to have. No everybody would like to share their Doctors appt to have a boil on their backside lanced! Hmmm (not that, that applies to me), but people are entitled to some privacy! Not everyone wants to share their pain! Lol
