How do I use AR (my camera) with SmartTag searching???

It doesn't work for me. I see video after video showing the ar and the camera and the direction to go but mine doesn't do this.

It doesn't work anymore. I believe it only works on the s21+ and ultra. One specific older model of phone. All phones after don't support the AR search feature. At least I've not found anyone with a newer phone that has it working.

To be more accurate. It only works on the smart tag+ and smart tag 2 using an s21+ or s21 ultra. Any other uwb enabled samsung phone won't support it. But you will get the compass feature and distance to the tracker

Tf. Why did they remove it then. It's a handy feature and way better than "getting warmer...."

I kinda have a feeling they never removed it. They just broke it and never fixed it. Have no proof on that but all the websites talking about it talk as if all uwb enabled phones can use it.

But the websites are also quite old and never mention a phone newer than the s21. So samsung might have just forgotten about it

How about just a simple direction then? Can it still detect the direction / distance when scanning nearby?

This is what does work. You get a distance number and a compass direction. Though the compass only shows up after it's confident of a direction. So it might take some seconds or walking around to appear.

Tracking starts out as the green circle, then if your phone and tag support uwb, it swaps to the white accurate tracking once uwb signals are found. They have maybe a 10m range or so, depends a lot on walls and objects

If your phone or tag does not support uwb, you get green and "getting warmer"

So few things. The original smart tag doesn't support uwb so will always be green.

The smart tag 2 does support it. But there's a bigger issue.
Only plus and ultra phones have uwb capabilities. So your phone lacks the hardware needed to do anything more than green "getting warmer"
