Trade in student price issue s22 Ultra

I just pre ordered the s22 Ultra through TOTUM and got the 10% student discount.  When i used the trade in option they offered me £120 for my Samsung s10 5g, which is a ridiculous and unsulting price. (obviously i didn't trade)

Anyway, if i place an order without the student discount, they're offering me £370 for my Samsung s10.

How on earth does this benefit students in any way, it's a nasty scam Samsung have got going on. I've just called customer services and the advisor actually thought he was justifying this scam by saying you choose one method or the other.

Is there anyway to get the £370 discount along with the student 10% off. I'm tempted to cancel my order

Unfortunately I think this is down to whoever is organising the discounts. A lot of things I've found look great, but looking more into it, I can quite often get a better deal myself.
I've found student discounts are really not worth bothering with sometimes.

Try using a cashback site like Quidco or topcashback. You may get something extra back doing it that way

it benefits students without a phone to trade by the sound of it. just go for better discount.
