Samsung Ireland is currently offering a trade-in deal for the Buds3 Pro, but it's essentially impossible to redeem since the item has been out of stock since August 11th. There's no option to secure the offer by paying now and having the item delivered when it's back in stock. This seems quite unfair, doesn't it?

Hey there and welcome to the Samsung UK Community Forum

Thank you for your question.

Samsung have received a lot of negative comment on this forum and elsewhere for taking orders then buyers having to wait for the order. So Samsung appear to have listened to quite loud criticism (fair play Samsung).

If they are not taking orders, this implies that there will a quite a delay before stock is available so Samsung trying to avoid complaints.

Thank you for the quick reply.

My question concerns trade-in offers that expire because the item is out of stock. The problem is that I can't pre-order and take advantage of the trade-in (which expires at the end of the month) and then have the product delivered when Samsung restocks. There seems to be plenty of stock in the UK and other EU websites, but Samsung doesn't allow purchases from these sites.

In your context, it feels like Samsung is trying to address criticism by effectively withdrawing offers in certain countries, which doesn't make it right. Considering that Samsung has set shipping dates for Buds3 Pro pre-orders and had a manufacturing issue, I'm not sure how valid the negative comments are in this regard.

Maybe Samsung should remove the item from the shop site till they recover enough stock. Most other shop sites do that and leave the item showing unavailable till further notice. Samsung would rather take the money first before anything else.
