Hey members

A quick question. Which is better? Vodafone or EE? I'm using S24 Ultra unlocked.

I'm with Vodafone and finding most places have 4g, few have 5g and coverage overall had worsened since 3g switch off.

I'm thinking of moving to EE. Nationally they claim to be the best (so do Voda).

I know it all depends on where you live and go but I do travel a lot so.........

Any thoughts on which is the better network?

I moved to Voda a few month ago. I had one small issue with not being able to use mobile data when on a call and no 5G data even though my phone was showing as on 5G.

They resolved it quite quickly and were helpful and easy to talk with.

Since this, I've had zero issues. Speeds are decent. Calls are crystal clear. No drop outs or mast issues.

I've never used EE due to the price they charge and tbh all the networks claim to be "the best."

My recommendation, if you can, order SIMO and trial them both out and just cancel within 14 day cool off period if you're unhappy with the service - that's what I did with Voda and Three. Once you've decided then use your PAC and transfer number.

It's a difficult one because generally speaking vodafone is better for indoor coverage, but EE has faster data speeds.

I would suggest getting a payg sim for EE and then comparing it with your current vodafone sim to see which has the stronger signal. That way, you won't get stuck into a contract you can't cancel.

Hey @Piper123

Personally I prefer to use PAYG options from my networks as I choose not to be in any type of contract.

So as the phone is duel sim I use two sims in the phone.

At the moment I have o2 and an ee sim in the phone.

Best of both worlds  🌎

Thank you. Really helpful insights.

My company mobile is on EE and I found out this week we now get 5g so I'm reviewing the places I travel to regularly.

(note - for info EE payg doesn't have 5g).

Really helpful @BandOfBrothers

If I move to EE, I would be on a 30 day unlimited contract which would be half price if taking EE Broadband (and get the EU football stuff too which is a nice to have).

I have been a Vodafone user for over 30 years, they are my goto network. A just get sim only deal so it covers my roaming when travelling, it does cover most place I visit regularly, it doesn't cover HK and Colombia which is annoying as I plan to go to both places more

Started getting 5G in the US which is great

I have a 30 day contract with EE unlimited data and uncapped speeds £38 a month. I actually recently got out of my Vodafone airtime contract due to persistent issues with all sorts of network related things. After multiple complaints and problems Directors Complaints department released me from my airtime but I still have to pay my device plan which is Galaxy S24 Ultra. So I was free to go elsewhere for my network. Used to love Vodafone but they've gone down the dip lately with worse coverage and really poor customer service. EE where I live seems to have 5G nearly everywhere even in pretty remote parts of Derbyshire Dales and Peak District. Call quality which is important to me is best of all networks like the old Orange network used to be. And I like the really friendly customer service based in UK and Ireland and when you call 150 the female voice says your name 😁 yes you pay bit more compared to Three etc but EE invest more in their network. O2 has become much more expensive lately too. In my experience Three 4G is terrible very slow especially in city and town centres haven't been with them since they had 5G though. O2 great coverage but often slow speeds. Vodafone good 4G coverage not so great 5G coverage, speeds decent but where I live it's so bad it often dips back to Edge speeds in so many places since they switched off 3G. EE doesn't have this issue

I been with EE for almost 4 years now. Can tell you that they are really good and their 4g is fast. They have more coverage than another provider. And EE is the fastest provider in the country. If speeds are a priority to you, then it's worth trying EE out. They won't let you down 😁👍
