I am using a picture and separate icons, no theme.

I tried that but some of the icons didn't support the apps so it looked odd. Do you find this?

True, but most icons work so I'm not bothered.

I use the default Samsung theme, font and app icons personally. 

Heaven knows I tried lots and lots of free and paid for themes and come back to the default option.
