Is the S7 FE S pen compatible with the S8?

I recently upgraded to an S8 tab from an S7 FE and I tried connecting to the S pen I used for the S7 FE tab but it's not connecting for Air Actions. It worked fine with the previous tablet but it not connecting to the S8 now.

Are the pens for the S7 FE not compatible with the S8?

Does air actions work on s7 fe itself? If not then that s pen isn't compatible with air actions on newer tablet. From samsung, I could only find a page where it says tab s7 is only model in s7 series that supports air actions with it's s pen. But no s7 FE listed on the page.

Only s pens with built in capacitor that stores power has the Bluetooth or similar connection type to work with air actions. I suspect s7 FE spen does not have that. Which is why it won't work.

I never tried to use air actions on my s7 FE because I didn't have it for very long. I got it and quickly swapped it for the S8. The s7 FE also didn't come with an s pen so I got the pen separately. The pen I got said it was compatible with both the s7 and s8 series.
