I have been a parallel user of Samsung Galaxy devices and Iphone devices since start and this is absolutely true that since face unlock is introduced Samsung has unfortunately lagging behind in tjis technology. Iphone face unlock is seamless and instant regardless of any light conditions, screen protection or device orientation. All of the possible reasons mentioned in post from Samsung representative (https://r2.community.samsung.com/t5/Tech-Talk/Face-Unlock-is-Slow/m-p/14307467#M295860 ) are quite lame. I would suggest that Samsung seriously focus on this technology and make it competitive to iphone.

Its quite quick for me. And I got the s22 Ultra. Even got a full beard and glasses on, didnt cut my hair for a while. Still works great, try to do a better face scan again.

Its same since face scan feature came into play. Do you believe that the unlocking is similar to iphone? As seamless and as quick? Also in zero light or dark conditions?

Yeah its good, I dont use iphone but my girlfriend does and she might switch to Samsung soon since theres much more stuff than iphone. And shes been with Apple since day one. You will probably need to redo tje face scan if you got so much problem. And Samsung had iris scanner before.

Keep in mind that faceID on iPhone cannot be compared with an android. Because iPhone has extra sensors and face scanner sensors so it creates a 3D copy of your face and such. While on Samsung it uses only front camera and isn't as secure than iPhone one. If you want to have better security is to use a normal long password and then fingerprint to unlock. That way if some 1 steals it no one can access it.

Exactly, that's what im talking about. Why Samsung? You charge equally, then why is the right technology and sensor setup not being used? Is it a patent? If you can sell apple screens, then off course you can buy their tech as well (if thats a patent)

It has to do with that if samsung going to use same as iPhone you will have to accept to have black notch at the top again which samsung and most Android manufacturers avoids. To give more screen.

Well the notch is going away soon and i dont mind that either 😅.
Well i hope samsung is listening and think about it.
