Polish-British start up Walletmor has created the world's first microchip implant that can be used for contactless payments at any card terminal may have seen a bit about it in the media.

 RFID chips can be used for other purposes such as unlocking Doors, not something you would forget but how far would the technology go- obviously privacy /security concerns. Would not say I am sold on it yet but some would embrace it!

I question how secure that really is for people being robbed or coerced. How would you be able to stop someone forcing your hand onto a scanner or alternatively them brushing past your hand with a portable scanner. You can't exactly walk round wearing a glove to shield the chip like you can for RFID chips in payment cards

That is a true scary thing. Next it will be chips put in by your employer to " make things easier to enter buildings or access your computer" then 1984.
But on the other hand chips have been used in pace makers and internal insulin pumps for years.

Walletmor's implant connects to a Mobile application icard which is used for topping up Funds. Would be able to top up from various cards.

Anyway at the moment a matter of choice if you wish to use such a system.
