Is there going to be a fix, I can't use my android auto cause the Google assistant is not working, messages can't be read, map directions cant be spoken,

Google assistant seems to be working on mine without problems.

I know that our development team is already aware of that problem, but are still looking for a source of it.

Please share with us the error report via Beta Feedback in Samsmung Members app. 
It will help us a lot for sure!

I'm having the same problem, streaming services like Spotify, Podcasts etc work fine but anything that requires Google Assistant won't work.

Get the drop down bar at top of the screen with the animation as if it's working but no sound, occasionally also get loud clicking played instead.

I get the same issue re no sound and then random clicking

Exactly the same for me too including the loud clicking.
I'll have to try to delete my post in the discussions section about this issue now I found this one.
