Anyone else find the camera on auto is awful. Completely over exposing highlights. That was taken with every setting on max. Tried other settings and similar thing.
I normally use manual mode, so it's not a hardware issue, but thought I'd see if Beta had improved things; clearly not. After coming from a budget Google pixel phone this really isn't good enough.
Not everyone wants to take photos of static objects or street scenes.

For comparison, this is the same day, minutes apart, taken with pro mode, DNG edited in lightroom mobile. Also cropped.

Probably some hdr setting either camera side or gallery side.
I had this overblown issues when I first got my phone.

It's not. I've tried various combinations of settings, (I have a camera Assistant app installed too) Even if it was one of those settings, it shouldn't overexpose highlights like that, regardless. I have several photos taken one after the other and they are all overexposed and massively over processed to some degree or another.
