samsung a40 sim card detection problem

samsung refuses to fix a known issue caused by a production or design fault.

I send two A40 phones for repair, 1 immediately got a new motherboard and the problem was fixed.
The other A40 is not being repaired because samsung blames a crack in the display, but also acknowledges the motherboard needs to be repaired but only wants to do so when we pay for a new screen we don't want.

We don't care about the broken display, we want the Sim card to work.
the symptoms are exactly the same so it's the same production error, not the display.

Could you please just repair the production error and not the crack in the display?

Goodmorning, in order to replace the motherboard the screen has to be removed. An already cracked screen will not come off without fully destroying the rest of the screen. So in order to replace the motherboard the screen will have to be replaced aswell. There is no way around this.
