Hi there,
I would need your kind assistance in storage related issue. I have a Galaxy s10, 128gb model.
Upon transferring my data from my previous phone, all the images came through from WhatsApp from all my previous group chats. This translates to 12887 pictures. Yesterday I thought I would de-clutter this and delete the unnecessary items. So I plugged the phone into my computer (running on Windows 10), and then via Window's file explorer, I deleted each picture that I didn't need. I accessed the folder via the following route: Internal Storage -> WhatsApp -> Media -> WhatsApp Images. I spent 3 hours on this project and deleted over 11.000 pictures. This is reflected in the file explorer (both on the device & my laptop). The pictures were not backed up on Google Photos. The device's own file explorer correctly shows 1458 images, however, in gallery view, I can still see all the 12887 images and the available storage seemingly hasn't changed at all.
What is causing this? How can the two folders not be synced up?

Hi @Balazs2,
Since you've deleted quiet a lot of pictures, it can take a while. Do you still see them in the Gallery?
Otherwise I would suggest a Smart Tutor appointment, so one of my colleagues will remotely check the settings: https://bit.ly/2OhhbuU
