I cannot set up screen lock on my Note 8. I've had it on swipe to unlock for a long time. Now when I try to set up a PIN, password or Pattern it just does nothing and reverts back to screen lock setup page.  I had my fingerprint setup at one time but can't set that up without a screen lock.

Did what work? I haven't tried anything yet. I was wondering if anyone factory reset and had it work. I don't want to do that if I don't have to.

Finally found a solution. I finally broke down and did a factory reset because my phone was saying my storage was full despite deleting many things and having an SD card.  It worked. Phone is like new again. Should have tried it long ago but didn't want the hassle of reloading everything and signing in to everything again.
