I changed the lock on my smartphone from a password to a pin lock. The problem is that the password has not changed and now the phone only gives me the option to enter a number and not a word.
What can I do??
(I know that the password hasn't changed because before I switched to a PIN lock I changed to a different password, and it left the previous password)

@Rich28: I'm not too sure what you mean. If you have changed your screen lock type from a password to a PIN, which is numerical, then you will be prompted to enter the designated number when you unlock your device. For clarity, what happens when you enter the PIN that you intended to set as your unlock method?
If you're currently unable to unlock your device, then you can use Find My Mobile on your home computer to remotely unlock it. With this in mind, please follow the link below, sign in using the Samsung account details that are registered to your phone, and look for any option to unlock the device from here.

When I enter the new PIN code it tells me that it is an incorrect code, although there is no doubt that this is the correct code
Already before, when I tried to change the password, it left the previous password. But now after changing the password type, I have no technical possibility to enter the previous code (the password was and still is words and now the keyboard is only numbers)
The problem is that unfortunately I did not open a Samsung account on the device and my phone is not registered. What else can be done?

There is no possibility to recover a password... just writes to me every time I try to wait another hour for the next attempt...
I'm trying to start Safemode, but how will that help unlock the password?
