Samsung J6 internal storage

Please help me with this, as I'm fed up with constantly being informed by Samsung phone that storage runs out. So I have got external storage, and majority of apps are on external. But when I check storage it still says that all the apps are in internal storage, which is not true! I'm using all manager all to help me keep an eye on when apps can be moved to external storage. 

Also, once apps are on external, some of them go back to internal. I'm hopeless. I did reboot the phone, cleared cashe when told by Samsung support, but this didn't help! 

 

Is there anything else I can do? Or do I need to change phone for some other less annoying brand?

The way in which apps determine whether an SD card can be used depends upon whomever compiled the app. Even when an app can be moved to SD card, not all of the data gets moved. Any brand of phone with low storage will react the same so changing brands won't make a difference but buying a phone with more internal memory will.
