Problem restoring secure access to my S7 Edge.

I chose to turn off fingerprint access for a short period but now can't restore any form of secure access because my backup password isn't being accepted. How can I get back to something better than swipe access please?

Sometimes a last resort is to back up and factory reset @Pete-hd 

 

However sometimes it can be beneficial to visit a Samsung Experience Store or Samsung Service Centre to see if they can help.
