I recently bought a Samsung Galaxy M21 phone, and it's touchscreen is so sensitive that i sometimes accidentally press things when my finger hovers 1 millimetre above it. For example, if I am in Settings, and my finger happens to hover above a toggle switch that is off, then that switch is turned on without me touching it, and then I have to touch it to turn it off.
This problem didn't exist on any of the phones that I used in the past. Only now, with the M21, it's the first time I experienced this touchscreen over sensitivity situation.
On M21, the setting that increases the touchscreen sensitivity, is turned off, and I never turned it on, since I don't use any screen protectors. I searched in Settings for something that allows me to reduce the touchscreen sensitivity, and such a setting doesn't exist.
Is there a solution to fix this, so I can avoid having to return it?

As far as I'm aware Samsung phone's do not have a setting to reduce sensitivity.
It's usually the other way round where a person needs to increase it @explorer493 !
Try a soft reboot by turning the phone Off and On.
A long shot but please put the phone in Safe Mode which disables your downloaded app's but let's your stock app's keep working. If the issues stop then this highlights a downloaded app as the possible issue. Come out of Safe Mode and start deleting your most recent downloaded app's one at a time until it stops.
Hopefully this should settle down or indeed return the phone within any applicable cooling off period.
I wish you all the best with this.
