I have a Galaxy S21. My screen cracked, and I got the screen replaced via the warranty at a repair shop. I picked up my repaired phone Friday night. I woke up on Saturday morning and my phone had installed a new software update.
Ever since then, my lock screen apps won't work. By this, I mean I cannot turn on my flashlight from the lock screen. I cannot open the camera from my lock screen. I also cannot open my phone via face recognition, with the screen displaying "couldn't open camera. try again." every time it tries to use face recognition.
Because the repair and update happened so close together, I'm not sure if this issue is a result of the software update or an issue from the repair. The repair shop opens Monday morning, I'll call and try to explain the problem, but figured I would ask first because the shop is very far from my home.

The decision to approach the repair shop is a good sound one @Spidahghost 👌
In regards to the update you could try the generic troubleshooting step of clearing the phone's System Partition Cache Files Section.
> Clear Cache Files from the phone's System Partition Section > https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-do-i-clear-the-cache-on-my-device/ You may need to insert your earphones or hook upto a powered On Laptop or use a Tv's USB Port to access the Clear Partition Section. This may help with lag or stutters as this clears the phone of old/unused or broken cache files.There is also a Repair Apps option in the Menu System too { Possibly excluding the s²⁴ Series of phone's }
A factory reset is the deepest troubleshooting step you can take after backing up.
If i can be of any further help please don't hesitate to ask 😎
