Although this has been posted, clearly it's not that big of a deal to samsung. How do you still roll out a software update that stops the touchscreen from working. There's hundreds of comments about this not only here but in tons of other forums. At least pause the updates before you destroy more phones!

Mine automatically updated this morning and boom, the touch screen doesn't work. Original OEM phone, new out of the box, no mods or screen repairs or replacements.

It's been mentioned here before but for those that have not seen:

Purchase a USB C to USB Adapter then you can plug a standard mouse into it. I was then able to get in and use smart switch to dump all my new stuff to my old Samsung (thankfully I still had it).

Hopefully Samsung will have a patch? Samsung, you out there?

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.
I'm here to help. " This is the way. "

Via support chat first I was told to take it a service center to have them fix it, but I would have to pay for it because my phone is out of warranty (which it is not).

I said, So to confirm what you are saying is that the samsung update broke my phone via a forced update. Since it's not under warranty, I have to pay to get it fixed even though it was broken by samsung?

They then responded that they would fix it on their end, somehow. No ETA.

The one thing I did learn was that my phone, although I thought was new, was new BUT factory refurbished. Only after I looked up my exact model number was I able to see this.

Are both of yours NEW or New but refurbished.

Also the tech had me factory reset and re-apply the update. It did nothing.

I wrote up a feedback complaint for the same issue 2 weeks ago and no one's responded there, or here.  What's the point!!!!  Is Samsung even checking there or here?
