Mobile phones have indeed come a long way since 2006. Can you believe we now have devices clocked at 3GHz? The S25 Ultra takes this a step further, running on the Snapdragon Elite, built with TSMC's 3 nm process. It's rumored that the Snapdragon for Galaxy will rival and even outperform Apple Silicon. However, trust Samsung to throw a wrench in this otherwise perfect machine by including the Exynos chip in all S25 models except those for the US and China. Why, Samsung? The S25 is a flagship, and I don't care what you say—the Exynos is a mid-range chip at best. Even the worst Snapdragon outshines the best Exynos. It's time to retire the Exynos; no one likes it!

Whilst many on here will say there is little difference for most users.......

I have to say I agree. Exynos is a poor quality and not in the same park as SnapDragon and some may even suggest MediaTek these days.

If the S25 Ultra comes to the UK with Exynos, regardless of how good anything else is, it will be a thank you but no from me.

Hi @scotfield

I totally get that some people don't like the Exynos sOc.

Most purchasers won't have a clue what sOc is powering their phone, and I'd go as far as saying won't possibly care as long as the phone works.

Being in the UK I've owned Samsung phones powered by both.

As a personal test a while ago I purchased a Samsung Note²⁰ from Samsung UK, with Exynos sOc in, and imported the same model from Samsung Hong Kong which had the Qualcomm Snapdragon sOc inside, which was in my case a night and day user experience when it came down to optimisation.

Time will tell which way Samsung will sway with the Samsung Galaxy s²⁵ Series.

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.
I'm here to help. " This is the way. "

If the S25 ships with Exynos, I'll keep onto my S23 for another year.
