It depends on what Samsung wants.
Of course,
with more and more powerful and better smartphones,
it does make sense,
because your phone you have always with you.
I don't think that Samsung is going to make a special gaming smartphones,
but very likely will try to optimise the S Series for the hard-core serious players.
I don't know why,
but Samsung is not interested in certain categories,
like the gaming smartphones,
the outdoor smartphones,
the classical keyboard phones,...
The problem with the gaming smartphones is their focus mainly on the gaming functions and the rest of the phone is not the same league as the same
non-gaming smartphones,
especially cameras.
That's probably why you can count the proper gaming smartphones on the fingers of one hand.
It's the same as with the headphone jack.
A certain people are still crying that they wants a headphone jack
(including myself),
but Samsung and the other manufacturers are trying to pursue us that literally no one is using this feature anymore.
You will need to use your game console, or your PC,
and I will need to use the adapter for my amazing Hi Resolution Audio wired headphones.
