Hi!
I dropped my phone from a table which landed flat on the floor. It was protected with a case but still the screen went out of wack for a second and then went black. The screen is still responsive.
Things I tried:
Plug- unplug the charger
Reboot with volume down and power buttons
is there a possibility to repair it without changing the screen (for instance if the lcd ribbon is loose)?
Many thanks!

Hi @Gerard34
I'm sorry to hear that accidental drop has caused issues.
Unfortunately it's not possible to say what's going to be needed in regards to a Repair until a Samsung Service Centre has had hands on to assess the phone.
In the UK Samsung also provide a doorstep repair service.

Unfortunately accidental damage is not covered under the 2 year Manufacturers Warranty so Samsung may charge a fee for the repair.
If I can be of any further help then please don't hesitate. Take care. 😎

Hi,
Thank you @BandOfBrothers .
Is it possible to recover my data before the repair?
It seems that the S7 does not support MHL... 😕
Thanks and happy new year.

You could try various software programmes but the issue maybe that you can't allow the connection to allow access if the screen is black.
I haven't used any myself so can't recommend one.

Hopefully you had Samsung Cloud set up to back up.
The Samsung Service Centres usually perform a factory reset as standard which will mean any personal information and data will be wiped.
