When I select apps from the notifications dropdown, the apps take multiple seconds to open.

I have an S9+ which is a couple years old and it has started taking multiple seconds to open apps from the notifications dropdown.  I can open the app instantly from the apps.  Any ideas?  I have cleared cache, etc and still the same.  I have not factory reset yet because I have not seen any resolution options to this.  Thanks!

Is this stock apps that were pre loaded onto the phone or downloaded apps @topdri68 ?

A factory reset may help although as you say the process appears to be fine when opening up an app using the icon.

If it's bothering you then a Samsung Experience Store or Samsung Service Centre can take a look.
