When I put my S21 on charge it powers off.

When I put my S21 on my 45w fast charger it just powers off. Could someone please explain as to why.

I have the same problem. This is with any charger. Think its a software related problem

Basically a Tech company keeping profits up and shareholders happy by urging their users to upgrade and creating sudden issues with older devices.. No feedback, no solution, no one cares.

Hey, have you or anyone else found what the issue is? Is there a repair solution? Mine shuts down randomly when i plug it into the charger and its quite problematic, for example when the alarm i set does not ring in the morning.

Either buy a wireless charger or get it repaired

I've got the same problem with S21. I backed up all data and reset the phone to factory settings. It didn't help. Hence, this is certainly not a software problem.

Today I got a repair proposal from the local Samsung-certified lab. They insist on replacing the "main card", which I guess is the main board of the phone. The cost of such a repair, according the proposal, is comparable  with price of a new phone. So, I'll keep using a wireless charger and think twice before buying any Samsung product ever again.

Luckily I was under warranty with my service provider so I got it for free!
