WhatsApp Video problem fix coming

So, after backwards and forwards with WhatsApp about the video sending bug (affecting those who have updated to Android 12 and OneUI 4.0) they have finally acknowledged the bug and said they are working on a fix for a future update. At first they denied knowing anything about it and told me to send them a video of what happened so I tried to explain that's the problem, I can't as it'll be unviewable (I have both issues - some have a green line, some are just scrambled - I've have instances of both). So to illustrate what I meant I sent them a video - it was scrambled (you have to use WhatsApp to chat to their support). We had further back and forth resulting in them telling me to restart my phone to fix it... 🙄. Eventually I tried to explain it wasn't just me and sent screenshots (with all the names blanked out) from this forum and the Playstore listing with people reporting the same problem. Finally got a message back yesterday "We're aware of the issue and are working on fixing it in a future update of WhatsApp.". So fingers crossed it won't take long.

I have issues to on my S21 ultra. Today i finally get update, but is not fixet like charm. I have no sound in videos in whatsapp when i record. Resolution of video is chaos... Any help?

I also have same issue recently..the green line and double color shades when we forward our videos..I have been reporting WhatsApp since 3 weeks..they r also not responding properly except saying restart and update..I have been done many times..though same issue persisting..so just Google whether it could b software issues..finally come to know..so will it resolve in next patch?

I have the same issue. You can record videos within WhatsApp and send them that way. Maybe you can use Snapchat to record videos and they will send. I turned off HDR10+ in advanced recording options and now my videos send with only a green line so that's something.

Small update. 

You can use Snapchat to record videos and they send fine. Maybe you can use that instead of your actual camera if you get desperate.

There's no point contacting me one to one I don't work for WhatsApp or Samsung so I can't help, I just reported in the first post what WhatsApp had told me after I complained. For me - WhatsApp video is now working fine (so make sure you've updated it to the latest). Friend I WhatsApp has an S21 also and its working for her now also.

Hello there, I have the same issue. I have purchased new Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G phone on September 2021. Now, it won't allow me to post few videos on my status and some groups. Mostly those videos are screen recordings. I checked the format of those recordings is MP4 so I believe it should allow me to post them to my whatsapp video. My internet connection is good, Whatsapp App is updated but still it doesn't allow me to update few videos on a whatsapp group and also on my status.

Please suggest if anyone have any  solutions to this.

Also, how to contact Samsung regarding this to get a clear and correct response?
