Hello everyone,
I have an issue with my device's screen. There's a white light appearing at the bottom of the screen. Does anyone know if it's possible to fix this without having to replace the entire screen? Your help would be much appreciated.
Thank you in advance!

My white light of death is much wider than yours. It's so terribly bright that I have to keep a band-aid over it. If I "dim" the screen, that band gets brighter and brighter! I have extensive screen damage though, separation of front and back glass, cracks, chips, and everything was good until about two weeks ago. I dropped it and it landed face down on cement. That's when this line started.
My biometrics and everything else in that area is still working. I have to hit my open apps button often so I can zoom out on the home screen or whichever app I'm using, so I can read what I can't see with the light from hell there. I then have to guess the general spot when "clicking" stuff.
I've been looking for a front glass replacement, but not sure which one I need to get. There's a cheap one for about $10, then there's the $100+ one. I don't know what the difference is and why I would need the $100 one, but I would rather not have to reorder it when I do get one. I already have a back glass and upgraded battery waiting....
