Samsung S20 5G constant restarting

For the last nearly 2 weeks, out of nowhere my Samsung S20 5G has gone into a restarting loop.

It might go for a few minutes and restart again. Then sometimes, it can last for hours and restart.

However this morning, it keeps heating up and restarting over and over without staying on.

I tried to clear cache partition, reset apps and go into safe mode, however it still restarts in safe mode.

I have seen other posts that a factory reset doesn't fix the issue. Does anyone know how to fix this please?

It had been working with no issues up until 28/7/24.

Mine having the same trouble, I did everything, and it stills on the restarting loop, I took to a repair shop because has guarantee but they can't do nothing about it, because it's not the phone problem physically it is Samsung software, this been a nightmare for thousands people we're not alone, since the last update a lot thing went wrong with new software, Samsung needs sort out quickly or will loose a lot customers this count with me, I'll never ever again buy Samsung products, I used to love Samsung but now I definitely have second thought about it, I'm very frustrated and disappointed : (

There's a battery diagnostic available to use in your Samsung members app via the support section. Perform the test on your battery and post back here with your result.

Hi @Robin999 I tried the phone diagnostics in the app, when I went into the Battery it says the status is normal and the capacity is 4000mAh (typical).

I was told if you press vol down and on/off together it may correct it.

Thanks, I've tried this but it didn't work. It even restarts in safe mode.

Thanks. Just to be sure. It's 'Life' as per screenshot. 1720606462726_1720606462719_0.jpg

Thanks for confirming. So you've tried Safe Mode, cache partition wipe, and reset apps, but nothing has worked. At this point, I'd perform a backup and factory reset your device. I know you've seen posts saying that this won't fix your issue, but it might in your case. You can only try.
