@the_bart123 you cannot run both apps simultaneously, to use your preferred need to set it as the Default. Are you sure the problem is only with the Samsung app and there are no issues with your Network?
For Troubleshooting firstly go to Apps-Messages- Storage and clear the the cache. You may need to reset the Network Settings,General Management-Reset. With One Ui 6 you can Reset Mobile Network Settings seperately to Wifi and Bluetooth Settings.
If still happen to be issues An idea to also check your Sim card, if all seems ok reinsert. otherwise may need to contact Network.
