Samsung message update

Does anyone know when the Samsung message app will be updated it's driving me mad not being able to use char feature

I believe it depends on you carrier in certain countries, however I think Samsung has paused having RCS enabled on the Samsung Messages App which is why Google Messages is the new default for S23 range as that has it enabled straight away

Unfortunately I think it's a case of switching to Google Messages or waiting and hoping Samsung make it possible on Samsung Messages again.

My husband has the same phone and he has the update

Samsung paused it for now as it hasn't agreed with Google making changes to the RCS.

Oh right so.its just a waiting game it's driving me mad not being able to use the chat features

While you're waiting you can use Google messages to restore RCS functionality

Switching to Google Messages brings over your texts and the Samsung Message App still remains if you want to switch back to it

Are you still having this issue? I can't even make a group chat it just sends them as mms and I get back separate replies. If someone tries to include me in a group chat it just deletes me.
