Just received a new to me S10, trying to open the Members app and get this message

'samsung members isn't supported in this region (9)' 

I did a factory reset before I used the phone. Restored data from a previous phone (this one, S8 and Fold 4) via Samsung account. 

Not using vpn, or wifi. 
Uninstall Members many times, restarted phone. 
Cleared cache of Samsung Store. 
Cleared cache of Samsung Apps. 

Any other ideas please?

Sounds like the phone is from a different region.
Where did you purchase it?

I bought it from a UK store on Amazon.

 

The region is set to UK as are all the settings. 

 

All other Samsung apps work as expected.  The members app is the same version on both devices. 

 

Do you happen to know how to check region?

The last few digits of the build number will denote the region the phone originated from

Unfortunately sites like Amazon have sellers that import devices. Or are foreign sellers
So you need to look into and ask questions from them where devices are from

It's very easy.

The "culprit" is the Service Provider Software version (About phone --> Software Information menu).

Ensure you are using a multi-CSC firmware (for example download it from samfw and then flash it to the phone by using the latest Odin version).

After all, change the CSC to one supported by Samsung Members (e.g. both the Italian TIM and the HUI work) by using the SamFw tool.

That's it.

It was a us version software I believe, so returned it and bought a UK spec.

  • Hey can u help me in updating to my latest software ,still iam stuck in one ui4.1 but as for Z fold 2 iam suppose to get oneui 5.1 . I am from India and my device is imported from UAE  so don't receiving the update.
