"I have searched in many forums about this issue. After updating my device to this version, the touchscreen stopped working. From what I've read, it's not just my problem; many people say it's because the screen of the device is not original or because there was maintenance that wasn't done by Samsung. However, many people with original screens have the same problem. Does anyone know if Samsung has addressed this issue? Will they release a patch or something? Honestly, they shouldn't blame the consumer because the problem isn't the screen; it's the software itself. If anyone knows anything, please respond, and if not, please post messages like this so that Samsung will do something about it or so we can know if they will do anything."

The touch part of the display can be hardware and or software based. 

Please do run the diagnostic tool found in your Samsung Members App to see if that highlights anything.

Occasionally a screen protector can be the culprit. 

There is also a setting in the phone's display section to increase sensatativity. 

Try > Clear Cache Files from the phone's System Partition Section  > https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-do-i-clear-the-cache-on-my-device/ You may need to insert your earphones or hook upto a powered On Laptop or use a Tv's USB Port to access the Clear Partition Section. This may help with lag or stutters as this clears the phone of old/unused or broken cache files.There is also a Repair Apps option in the Menu System too { Possibly excluding the s²⁴ Series of phone's } 

Ultimately a Samsung Service Centre can assess your phone.
