I have S21 Ultra, and recently, I have been unable to use the main camera.
When I attempt to open the camera app, it displays the error message "Camera failed." I have tried several troubleshooting steps to resolve the issue, including:
- Restarting the device
- Clearing the camera app cache
- Using the #0# code to access the hidden menu and tested the camera ( Front and Back camera work normally)
Despite these efforts, the main camera remains inoperable. However, I have confirmed that the mega camera and front camera are functioning normally.
I would appreciate it if anyone could provide guidance on how to address this issue.

Very interesting. I believe there is either a software bug or some app is interfering.

I also had the same problem with one phone that the camera did not work. But a recently installed app interfered with the camera. I deleted it, did a reset and everything worked fine.

@hamxaj105 A few other suggestions: Check Diagnostics to see if any issue identified, Samsung Members-Support -Diagnostics. An idea to try in Safe Mode (one of the methods in the link) as sometimes third party app can cause conflict, if camera is ok there would suggest recently installed Apps may be causing an issue.
However if still problem pull down the quick settings Menu and duble check if camera Access is turned on. Alternatively go to Settings-Apps-Camera and check permissions, ensure Camera is Allowed.
Another idea is to clear cache partition:
1. Turn off the device.
2. Connect To Computer , other Device or TV USB, Press and hold the Volume Up key and then press and hold the Power key
3. When the Android logo displays, release both keys.
4. Wait until the Android system recovery menu options appear.
5. Press the Volume down key several times to highlight wipe cache partition.
6. Press Power key to select.
7. Press the Volume down key to highlight yes, them and press the Power key to select.
8. When the wipe cache partition is complete, Reboot system now is highlighted.
9. Press the Power key to restart the device.
A factory Reset is more of a last resort but may be needed.
However if issues persist an idea to send an Error Report, Samsung Members-Support-Send Feedback-Error Reports-Camera. Ensure that the system logs are forwarded. May need to contact support though. https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/contact/

I found a work around. I downloaded an app called Ai capture. It allows you to manually select which camera you want to use before it launches it.
I've noticed that with mine, everything but the rear secondary camera labeled as hardware 2, the one that's the 100x, and it will work.
Other than that, someone at Samsung dropped the ball.
