s21 ultra adaptive refresh rate not working

Via the developer options refresh rate counter, I can see that my phone right now is stuck at a constant 120hz on the adaptive refresh rate mode. It used to appropriately switch between 120, 60, and 48 depending on the content and if the display was static but from now it just seems to be frozen at 120hz, even on the Aod.

i feel the same ... and getting alot of glitches in the phone .. and battery timing is getting worsten

Does it start to switch up after a soft reboot by turning your phone Off and On  ?

just did a quick check... mine with AUBB version of software is switching dynamically between 120 60 and 48 depending on usage and video playback.

The phone automatically goes back to 120hz every time you touch your screen

the "vrr" panels on the s21 and the note 20 ultra are vrr only at high ambient brightness, below that they get onto the fixed framerate level

Had faced the exact same issue ,turns out right now if brightness is very low the refresh rate is stuck at 120hz , when I increase the brightness a bit the dynamic switch of refresh rate works again
