I got my S21 Ultra 5G phone on July 2023 after spending a sigfinication amount. Just after 1 year and 4 months I suddenly for not reason got a pink line on the screen. I fixed an armoured shock proof case to protect my valuble phone as soon as I bought it. For the last 1 year and 4 months I never droped my phone or not even a drop of water spilled on it. I clean the phone only with a slight damp cloth.

Now I have to spend a sigfination amount almost 50% of the cost of the phone to replace the screen.

My previous phone was a Huawei Nova 3i. Even after 4 years it is still working properly. I have dropped it several times and it still works. For god sake it is MADE IN CHINA

Now I regret changing to SAMSUNG

Since I bought this phone from a different country I am not covered by warrenty. Samsung will not even consider it.  I now live in fear at any moment the S21 will give away.

I had very high hope about SAMSUNG and I was proude to own a S21 Ultra. I hoped, it will atleast last for 4-5 years. It is my pride that is killing me now. Very disapointed.

Hello @Ashokan and may I extend a Warm Welcome to the Samsung Community Forum 👋

I'm sorry to hear your experiencing these issues with your phone.  😔

Sadly the caveat of importing a phone from one region it's been released in into to use in another region can mean the Manufacturer's Warranty is voided.

For this reason best practice is to buy a phone from one's own region.

This can be downdiue to parts inside etc in regards to suppprt.

I had the same situation when I imported a Samsung Note²⁰ from Hong Kong into the UK, so I made sure my phone's are covered under my Home Contents Insurance for peace of mind.

Some Bank Accounts provide cover as a perk of the account too.

A phone can sustain a fall depending on height of fall , the type of ground it hits ,and what angle it hits ,and the protective options used on the phone.

It's also down to luck whether it survives or not.

The pink line you mention suggests a fault between the ribbon connecting the display panel to the motherboard.

One of my Samsung phone's had a similar issue many years ago.

If i can be of any further help please don't hesitate to ask  😎

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.
