I've just upgraded to the s21 from the s10. Problem is that I now only get 1 bar showing on the signal strength most of the time (including home). On the s10 it was on 3 bars most of the time using the same network and SIM. If I swap the SIM card back to the s10 I get 3 bars showing again

I have tried resetting the network, a hard reboot, changing to SIM tray 2 but all to no avail. Anyone else experienced this/any ideas or is this device faulty??

I'm also having signal problems with the S21 I've noticed that I'm talking to someone when I'm at home and they keep saying they cannot hear me so I move around the flat and just about get a signal. I've been told it sounds like a relay effect when I'm talking to them

Yes, I can confirm the issue when called person says it cannot hear me very well. I thought it is not on my side but as you say I am not alone.

I'll add my thoughts, I get the exact same issue! it says I have 4g+ (LTE) and yet still like I'm going underground! look at the screen and signal looks fine, also says HD call quality.. it ***** ain't!!

I am having ver similar issues, not only with 4G reception but also with wi-fi reception. Signal strength in my S-21+ is worst than my previous phone Oneplus 6T or my corporate iPhone 5. Very disappointing!

The issue is probably the 5G service. Your old phone used the 4G LTE more than likely. The S21 defaults with the 5G.

To change this on the S21 Go to Settings: click on Connections: select Mobile Network: click on Mobile Network Mode and then choose any of the optional networks. I would suggest the 4G LTE. I'm guessing you are in a rural area and 5G towers may not have been installed yet.

Problem is ,if your device is unlocked ,you can not change and lock to 4g ,I don't know why ,a easy update can fix this but they don't care ,and also ,4G signal is also bad when my device is in some out of 5g area .

Never thought  signal would be a issue for a $1200 phone ,they should've know 5g signal is not so good right now and people may want to stay 4g

**Last Update**
Ok, deep breath.. here goes. First S21 had signal issues, couldn't make or receive calls without dropouts so sent it back. Waited a week for a replacement, no-one responded to my emails of when I was likely to receive it so called them to find that they'd run out of stock (yeah, thanks for letting me know Samsung!) at that point I asked for my money back and my old trusty S10 would be sent back too.. hurrah I thought!
A few more days went past and a package finally arrived, opened it to find an (out of stock) replacement S21. 🤷
Of course (as others have mentioned on here) had exactly the same issues 😒
Did some troubleshooting through Samsung's Twitter account who told me to switch to '3G only' in order to make/receive calls. The phone for some reason isn't picking up 4G and 5G I'm told and would need to go in for repairs.. Seriously, a brand new phone in for repairs.. to repair what exactly!?!
This kept me awake last night and thought I'd rather cut my losses and ask for a refund before it's too late or tampered with by a 3rd party engineer.
So this morning I asked for a full refund and, to be frank, can't wait to see the back of what's been an absolute atrocity of customer support for nearly a month.
There's something very fishy going on with the new S21 series, make what you will, but my experience and many others on here have had an absolute nightmare experience!!
I'm off to lick my wounds and decide where to go next..cheers🖐

First I've heard of this. Mines unlocked and I can set to 4G or 5G just fine. Have no issues with either signal on Three network.
