Hi there - wondering what bluetooth codec are supported in the S21? Specifically wondering about aptX, aptX HD, LDAC? I know there is a samsung specific scalable codec but that doesn't help with my non-samsung headphones.
Thanks!

Hi
Why I can't see that option on my new WH-1000XM4?
I have a galaxy S21 ULTRA
I also go to the developers option and can't change the codec to LDAC

Hey, do you know what Bit rate your S21 Ultra is running LDAC at? 330kbps, 660kbps, or 990kbps?

Sorry guys ... I'm late comer here.
I'm using Samsung S21 Ultra (latest FW G9980ZHS2AUIN).
In general I noticed, Inside DEVELOPER options, BLUETOOTH audio codec defaulted to "SBC" while all remaining options are not selectable.
Previously I used Jabra and Samsung Bud headset.
( Jabra connected with SBS, AAC, and Scalable Codec as option on BLUETOOTH audio codec )
Recently, when paired/connected with Sony WF-1000XM4, I noticed BLUETOOTH audio codec can either select "AAC" or "SBC" and that's about it.
It can be confirmed on Sony Connect App as well whether AAC or SBC is used. However, still no other options available ( in particular e.g. LDAC).
( e.g. Jabra connected with SBS, AAC, and Scalable Codec as option on BLUETOOTH audio codec )
Any clue what's wrong?
Do i need to have a piece of file with LDAC encoded to playback before this LDAC option availble ?
Please share your thoughts.

Same with me I have got earphones with aptx HD but Samsung phones won't support that because they wanna sell their own junk just like Apple does. We choose android because we love freedom. Build an eco system by offering the best and not through stupid short sighted decisions

I'm late to the party, but have had the same problem.
I figured it out with my wf-1000xm4 on s21 fe.
Go the headphones app and choose "Priority on Sound Quilty" under the Sound tap.
The go to Bluetooth and quick the settings icon on your connected wf-1000xm4. If LDAC is not visible, set the unit type is "Headphones".
Worked for me.

Unfortunately I've bought a Samsung s22 , but my next phone won't be a Samsung, that's for sure.
If I knew Samsung phones don't support aptX, aptX HD I wouldn't buy it in the first place.
