Hi @HoneyLover A ferw things you could try, I am taking it that a soft Reset does not make any difference.
If you dial *#0*# a number of tests will be displayed including the various colour panels, cycle through them to see if it helps.
You could try in Safe Mode as if the line not present there would indicate a conflict with 3rd party app/theme. You could then delete recemt third party apps if applicable. https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-to-start-my-galaxy-device-in-safe-mode/
However this may well be a hardware error which would need an inspection, could contact support https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/ or obviously alternatively you can upgrade.
I do not work for Samsung or make Samsung Products but provide independent advice and valuable contributions.

I'm sorry to learn of the issues your currently experiencing with your phone @HoneyLover 😔
Personally I would look at the repair costs to that of how long the phone is going to be supported in regards to software updates and security patches, so then you can make an informed decision.
I assune your have no alternative insurance through any Home Contents Insurance and or some Banks provide cover as a perk of the account.
If i can be of any further help please don't hesitate to ask 😎
