Notification Sound Not Working

My notification sounds isnt working even though its on ringer all it does is just vibrate instead of a notification sound. What i have noticed is when it is on ringer there is no little icon in the top left of your phone.

On mute.

On vibrate.

On ringer.

Please help.

Hi,

There isn't an icon for your phone being on ringer mode.

Try this for the notification sound:

Settings > Sounds and vibrations

and check if sound mode is enabled + if it has a sound that makes a noise (click on "Notification Sound" and click on the active one, it should play the sound, if you cant hear anything... it might be your speakers or that notification sound has no noise)

Or one more thing to check

Settings > Notifications > Do Not Disturb

Make sure DND is off as it mutes notifications, calls etc.

My a53 does not show a simble at the top when sound is on

It does play the sound when I press it but when I got a notification it doesn't play.
