No notification sound

Any one else having problem with no notification sound on s20 ultra when receiving Txt messages and what’s app? Just vibrates instead. It comes and goes it’s weird  When someone rings there is sound tried all settings spoke to Samsung they went though all settings as well but still not resolved problem.  But be a bug after last update

Hi every one.

I was having the same problem as you, but i fixed it.

What i did was the following:

Go in to setting-Sound and Vibrations-Volume

In there there was a setting for notification sound, that was turned all the way to the left.

After setting it to the far right position, my notification sounds returned.

I'm new to Samsung phones. Have had this S20 for a few months and this just happened after a security update. I too got my notification sounds back by going to Settings - Sounds and vibration - Volume - Notifications. The slider was all the way down to mute. Took a while to find it here, since I didn't change it previously and it wasn't in Settings - Notifications like you'd expect.

I have been having the same issue with my S21+. I have tried everything, with now luck

I have also done all of that and more on my S21+, still not luck/. Very Frustrating.

This worked for me. Have no clue how that slider got turned to zero, but that was it!
