Messages sending like a whatsapp not a normal message

Hi Guys i've got a problem I can't fix. My messages has changed the way it sends messages. A few weeks ago it sending them like its a whats app message or messenger. I've looked through the settings but can't find anything to change it back to normal texting.

@katt11: This could potentially be stemming from your Chat settings. To check, please open the Messages app > Tap the 3 dots in the top right > Settings > Chat settings > Chat features (off) > Default message type > Text or multimedia.

Thanks for that. I didn't go to that settings to even turn it on. So I don't know if it started when using the WhatsApp

@katt11: Are you using the Messages app to send text and multimedia messages? Could you provide a screenshot of the resulting messages, so I'm able to gain a better understanding of the problem?

The green means they're sending as SMS and the blue means they're sending as RCS

Never heard of RCS. I knew something was going wrong as my text background changed.
