Incorrect photos orientation in Samsung Gallery app

Hello,

All photos taken on my Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra in portrait mode are displayed in horizontal orientation in the Gallery app. The problem is only in the Gallery app from Samsung, no issue in Google Photo for example.

I don't have that... Check if any update to gallery in samsung store.

Also under Main settings> Apps > gallery app you could try clearing the cache and restarting your phone.

Thanks a lot for your reply,

cache cleared & phone reboot... but still have the issue.
I had the same issue with my previous galaxy Note 9...

Some suggest turning the HEIF pictures in the camera settings off.

Also apparently it only happens to photos when synced from the cloud and not the camera folder.. is this in your case?
Is the gallery updated to latest?.

Seen some posts it's got something to do with samsung gallery not reading the exif properly.
