How to get rid of secure folder locked notification permanently?

After the August update, when I reboot my phone, it shows a persistent notification "Secure Folder locked" under Android system section...the only way to make it go is to unlock my secure folder.

I don't want to uninstall Secure Folder, just looking for an one time solution to get rid of that pesky notification. TIA

If you can. Turn off notifications.

Any updates on how you resolved this?

Uninstalling the Secure Folder app entirely solves the problem.

So I figured it out. Go to settings, search secure folder. Go to notifications and data, go to app notifications and turn off all notifications and it should disappear from notification bar. Problem solved.

another useless fake solution. there is nothing under notifications not even under advanced to turn off. you just cannot turn off notifications.

Ok, folks did you update to OneUI 6.0?
Since the OneUI 6.0 update, there is not only the "Lock and Exit" item in the three-dot menu of the Secure Folder as before, but also an "Encrypt" item.

If you select this after using the Secure Folder, you will be asked again whether you really want to encrypt; you will be informed that in that case you will not receive any notifications from encrypted apps (which is exactly what we want to achieve).
If you confirm this message, the Secure Folder is closed and encrypted.

If you now restart the phone, no notification of an existing secure folder will be displayed. 🥳

If you want to use the Secure Folder again, you will be asked for permission to decrypt it. After that the apps in there can be executed again and can also send notifications again.

So I consider the problem solved by this. You just have to get into the habit of using the "Encrypt" option instead of "Lock and Exit" after using the Secure Folder.
Side effect: the folder is securely encrypted. I always thought that this was the case anyway, but whatever.

Yes, I can also confirm that the problem is finally fixed in a round about way. Tested and it works on

  • Samsung Galaxy S22
  • One UI 6
  • Secure Folder Version: 1.9.00.37

When secure folder is open, instead of closing and locking it, just click the three dots on the top right and choose "Encrypt". This will encrypt your secure folder and you will not receive any notifications from secure folder apps when the secure folder is off/locked/encrypted. I have tested it by rebooting the phone after, and no secure folder notification appears.

When you need to use the secure folder simply click decrypt and you are good to go.

Also check that the following secure folder setting is set as follows

Secure Folder -> Settings -> Other security settings -> Automatic data decryption -> Off

As a side effect of this the contents of your secure folder are now securely encrypted. I had always assumed that they were encrypted from the start, but I was mistaken, they were only password locked before this option!

I do not know why it took Samsung over two years to implement this simple solution, but lets be thankful that they did implement it.

Now if only they can add the option to auto encrypt secure folder instead of just locking it, that would be a great time saver. Hopefully within the next two-three years Samsung will finally add this option as well.

That does not work.
And One UI 6 is not available to several of us.
