I'm sure this question has been asked before. My wife has an old S10 plus phone that she wants to give to our son. Problem is she can't remember her pattern on the phone to allow access and the ability to reset. She's now on an S24 and the S10 plus has been lying in the drawer for quite some time. It doesn't appear on her find my device on the Samsung website as it's been deregistered. So we don't know how to actually force an unlock on the device, so we can factory reset it. Can anyone suggest a way around this? As the time just keep getting longer between tries. Thanks in advance John

Thanks I'll give it a try. Device 5 years old. Think receipt and invoices well past it

Plug into a laptop/PC!! It will not work and boot up normally if not plugged in, then hold down the power button and volume up until the device restarts; do not let go until the Samsung logo appears. Navigate to reset and confirm (volume buttons to navigate and power to select). Even if the device asks for a PIN to restart, it should still let you via this method.

Thanks John. Really appreciated. I'll give this a try later. My wife can't remember how she managed to put the pattern in every day for about 3 years. Lol. She always used to miss the centre dot out but for some reason the touch gravitates to this dot. A right pain and certainly a learning trend for the future. Thanks for the help

It didn't let me. Always asks for the pattern. But thanks any. Resolved using the Iminvti YouTube method. Had to login with the Google account that it was registered on. Got this all done. Thanks again everyone. Really appreciated all the feedback and advice
