Some days ago my phone got an update to UI 5.0.
Everything works fine, except unlocking with fingerprint sensor.
I have found out that the issue appears if the phone is locked for a while and then a notification comes. This is the reason why this problem especially is annoying while using Android Auto. AA creates a notification when it connects ... after a time the phone locks. In this case the phone can be unlocked with a fingerprint until the side button is pressed (or a double tap on the screen wake up the screen). I'm sure this is a bug that didn't exist before the upgrade to Android 13.
I made a "wipe cache", but it didn't helps. Any idea what can be wrong?

I'm sorry to hear that you are having this issue after updating your S21 FE. We are unaware of any issues related to this at the moment so we would recommend reporting this to our colleagues. To do this, please reproduce this on your device and send us a Error report attaching a video or image showing what happens and a new phone log after this occurs?
To do this head in to the Samsung Members app> Support> Error reports (please make sure to replicate the issue then file the report within 5-10minutes of the issue occurring, please provide a timestamp if possible).
Once here toggle on 'Send system log data' (if not already toggled on), you will notice a notification at the top that indicates logs are being captured, this means any issues occurring in the background of the software our engineers can locate these and let us know the next steps.
Please allow time for this notification to change to indicate they have been captured. Now fill in your report, please include examples of the issue if possible by hitting the paper clip in the top right corner. Make sure to fill in as much detail as possible and send this off, we will then have our engineers check these over for you.
Please add any screenshots or screen recordings by hitting the paperclip in the top right, this can help us understand your issue further.

I have the exact same issue.
It happens randomly. But usually when the screen has been off for a while.
Hoping for a fix, this is very annoying.
Running Android 13 with the januari security update
When i turn the always on display to "show always" the fingerprint sensor works fine though.

Thx for your response. It usually happens to me while using Android Auto (but not just in that case) and while driving, so recording with a friend's phone is a little dangerous. But I will have this on my mind.

Nice to hear that I'm not alone with this problem. I will try with your suggestion to "show always".
