Fast/Superfast charging stopped working

Morning

Im aving issues with my s20+ galaxy.

Fast/super fast charge has just stopped working despite being selected.

I have tried 2 different chargers and still having same issue.

The port is clear of lint and power supply works, it is just "cable charging" now

I have spoke to Samsung who suggest factory reset and if not working send for repair which will be 10+days without phone.

Has anyone had this issue and fixed? Will do factory reset once I am sure I have fully backed up device.

My phone stopped superfast charging after moisture was detected. After moisture was gone it was charging only as in normal mode ( very slow). I tried just about anything, settings, clearing cache, rebooting, charging in boot mode etc. I was dealing with that type of slow charging for a few days and got tired of it. What I did and what fixed my issue is a toothpick. I took toothpick and gently cleaned charging port with it. Good luck and those who try this method, you are doing it on your own risk. It worked for me.

I had the same problem with my s20+ after a recent update. It still shows super fast charging after connecting the charger, but it is taking longer than before. It's likea 20-30 minute difference.

I had the same situation as you with my S22 and I did the same steps and it started working again? I can't believe it would work but it did surprising.

You did the same steps... as in cleaning your USB C port with a toothpick?

I might have to stop at the dollar store on the way home...

Hi. I have the exact same problem with my s20plus I did a full factory reset as told to do so by Samsung and that did not fix my problem. My phone is super fast charging but it only says charging. This only happened after a software update. My advice is do not factory reset your phone as it won't fix it.

Same problem here s20 note ultra after update fast charge for 2 secs then charging

Yep same issue here with my s20fe. The most annoying things is it has also affected using my phone with my dji drone as it keeps disconnecting with the controller. Come on samsung please enable fast charging again 🙏

I had A51 when holidaying in Greece. Could never get it to charge more than 85% even if plugged in and switched off all night. Today I have A53 in Spain on hols. Same despite trying 3 different adaptors. Never had this problem before fast charging invented.
