Hmm, I haven't had any issues like this with my S20! Is the e-mail application itself up to date? You could also try to clear the cache for this by heading to Settings > Apps > E-mail > Storage > Clear Cache (this won't delete any data you have on there).
If those fail, I'd go down the route of a Soft Reset. You can do this by pressing and holding the Power and Volume Down buttons together for 10 seconds.

I had to change my password the other day, now I all my u emails again to archive too. How do I stop this happening?
