Edge Lighting not working after Android 11 update

After updating my S10+ to Android 11, Edge Lighting is not working at all.  Yes, I have it set it on for my Messages app under Notifications, Brief pop-up settings, but it still does not work anymore when I receive a message.   Any suggestions?

I just found the solution to this issue. I was also not able to see any edge lighting and once i went to developer options and turned onthe animation, that i had previously turned off, i went back to the pop-up notifications and it WORKED. Hope its the same for you as well.

Ok I know I'm late but my bf was just having this problem and I figured out for him that it only works on brief notification pop up. It won't work on detailed notification pop up.  Not sure if that's the sane issue for you guys. But that worked for him.
