As happens my s21 phone fell out of my pocket.....Mostly recovered except for two areas. The camera and biometric recognition. I have tried all the usual stuff, and even new apps don't fix it. Any advice please?

I would probably take it to a phone repair shop if I were you if you can't take it apart yourself, because my s21 ultra randomly stopped working because of what i think was water damage, so that could be something you could try. Is the camera fully not working or do you have the thing where there's water inside the lens of the camera?

It isn't working at all. Camera and face/finger recognition. I am housebound at the moment due to mobility. Can't get to a shop.

It's not worth fixing the S21 series, even though they're still great phones, they'll be out of support next year and won't receive any security updates after January.

I'd say get it working enough to make a backup of the data, then have a look at a new device. As sonora said, the s21 will stop getting security patches after January

Personally I would now consider upgrading to S25 series and not bother trying to repair.

@suzeeit would need a repair but need to consider if worthwhile with limited time left on support as mentioned.  obviously depends on budget but the latest Devices have considerable support (7 years for S24/S25).   A series are not premium Devices but the pick of the bunch  A36/A56  the have 6 years.
