Custom launcher issues with Android 11 and OneUI 3

Do we have any news from Samsung about fixing custom launchers, like Nova Launcher, with not 'sticking'/persisting and OneUI coming back instead? Was working fine under Android 10 and OneUI 2.x.

That's what I did too but the problem persists. Seems to depend on the mood of the phone on being switched on, as didn't happen last night when I upgraded to 7.

only other thing I've done was I done factory reset on phone and started from new don't know if that would help, also backed up phone prior to that!!

So it resolved permanently for you then?

it did for me, I get the inconvenient piece but at the moment no issues over the last 3-4 days!!

Yeah that sounds quite definitive hopefully. Will wait for update then factory reset.

Just to report back although  a factory reset helped reduce the frequency of the issue, the issue does indeed still persist I'm afraid.

Update. Firmware update B8/9 finally seems to have fixed this problem for me. I'm using Nova beta 7 but I'm fairly sure this issue was down Samsung rather than the app.

Just factory reset my S10+ and this issue started up again after spontaneously stopping on my previous iteration of my S10+. Whenever I exit an active app via the hamburger menu (recently used apps) on the bottom left of my screen, my Nova Launcher gets kicked off and I am back on One UI. This is despite Nova Launcher being set as the default launcher, having all permissions enabled, and restarting my phone and Nova Launcher itself.

I had to put the Nova Launcher icon on my One UI homescreen so I can keep clicking back to it when this happens. Very frustrating.
